Festival of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Our Wardens and Ministry Team have agreed the following Covid-19 relaxations in St Michael & St Wulfad’s and St Saviour’s Churches:

  • We are now singing at our services: this is from printed sheets, which we ask you to take away with you, so nobody else needs to handle them. Service words will continue to be shown un the screens in Church
  • We advise people to wear a mask in church as it remains an enclosed space and we will keep social distancing within our buildings
  • We will not be serving drinks in church until we feel it is safe to do so
  • We will remain offering Communion in one kind only, for the time being
  • We shall phase out this current weekly sheet over the next month and replace it in September with the former Pewsheet containing readings for the Sunday and brief notices.

We will review these things as time goes by and the trend of the infections becomes clear. For the moment we shall continue to offer the Sunday afternoon Zoom service and to record and broadcast a service each Sunday on the internet.

Thank you for your help and understanding with these restrictions. We all wish to be free, but it is plain that the virus has not gone away!
