Ian CardinalI have been Rector of the parishes of Stone St Michael & St Wulfad and Aston (by Stone) St Saviour since 2007. This is a wonderful place to live and work and I feel it's a great privilege for me to be here amongst these people

I'm a career Priest, having been Ordained since 1984: however I did have an "ordinary" job before this, with British Leyland and worked in Production and Material Control at the Rover Cars site in Solihull. In those days I rose to being the Secretary of my Trade Union (APEX) which made life.....interesting!

Steph and I have been married for over 30 years and we have two daughters in their twenties, both of whom teach. We met when we were both training for the Church of England ministry, although Steph believes (probably wisely) that one cleric in the family is enough! We are both fully committed to the life of these two Churches and enjoy working along some deeply committed people

Hobbies for me include canal boating (I first came to Stone as a teenager in 1972 on a boat!) Dr Who (Tom Baker was still the best) and photography
