FAITH MATTERS: some of the residents of Summerfield Court have an expressed a desire to be Confirmed & Bp Geoff has kindly agreed to come to the court for this. The “Faith matters” group is thus for those enquiring after this important step. If anyone would like to join the group (whether or not to be Confirmed) we shall be starting in easy stages on Monday mornings

NOOMA GROUPNooma is a set of DVDs that trigger discussion on aspects of the Christian faith and we would like to use some of these in the run up to Lent. The Group begins this Monday at 7.30pm at the home of Mary & Berwyn Babb. Just bring yourself – all welcome

Are you a “groupie”? That is – do you enjoy discussion groups on aspects of the Christian faith? Whereas they have been a great tool in developing people’s faith over the years, we also have to recognise that some people just don’t enjoy this kind of thing at all. And if we are feeling uncomfortable, it is hardly likely we are about to learn something new!

So this Sunday we are starting to try something different:- a short course of sermons on different aspects of the life and times of the Lord. All through Epiphany we are going to use the set readings to put the life and teaching of the Lord into some kind of context. The themes will be:

Sunday 8th – The Life and times of Jesus

Sunday 15th – The working world of Jesus

Sunday 22nd – Jesus the True Vine

Sunday 29th – Good vs Evil in a pagan society

I can only say – don’t miss next week’s thrilling instalment! J
