Prayer for the Nation
Following the devastating milestone of 100,000 deaths from Covid-19, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have called for a time of prayer for the nation at 6pm each day during the month of February. They encourage us to remember before God those who have died and pray that God's love will surround all who mourn them, now and always.
Gracious God, as we remember before you
the thousands who have died,
surround us and all who mourn with your strong compassion.
Be gentle with us in our grief, protect us from despair,
and give us grace to persevere and face the future
with hope in Jesus Christ our risen Lord.
Amen
Sunday Services resume from 21 February
These will be a brief service of Holy Communion. There will not be a Thursday morning service for the time being.

There will be 5 sessions, on Wednesdays at 7pm, starting on 24 February. The course uses readings from Isaiah 40 to explore different aspects of the comfort God seeks to offer us when we need it most! Genesis 17: 1-7, 15-16 Romans 4: 13-end Mark 8: 31-end
Almighty God, you show to those who are in error the light of your truth,
that they may return to the way of righteousness:
grant to all those who are admitted into the fellowship of Christ’s religion,
that they may reject those things that are contrary to their profession,
and follow all such things as are agreeable to the same;

in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen
