The Parish Churches of

St Michael & St Wulfad, Stone, with

St Saviour Aston by Stone

THE MINISTRY OF HEALING is something that our Parishes have begun to explore over the last two years, but now we are to try to explore new ways of praying within it. On October 14th at 4pm there will be a SAID service in St Michael & St Wulfad’s with a more “meditation led” kind of feel. To plan this, anyone interested in invited to come to St Michael’s this Wednesday (3rd) at 7.30pm

THE PRAYER BOOK SOCIETY exists to promote the Book of Common Prayer as a major act of worship in Parishes in England, and to promote its values and doctrines. Next Sunday (7th October) at 3pm the AGM will be held at St Michael & St Wulfad’s, followed by Prayer Book Evensong at 4pm. Parishioners are welcome to both events

STREET PASTORS is a scheme very much valued across Britain, working with those who get a little over indulgent on our streets late at night. The National Police welcome their efforts, and they are represent the face of the Church in Action

Next Sunday (7th) as part of our Harvest celebrations, the Stafford Street Pastors will be commissioning Vanessa Renshaw as an important part of their Team, during the 10.45am service. Do please come and support a member of our Benefice undertaking this valuable work – and maybe find out about the kind of thing this Ministry involves!

THE BELLS at St M&W are now silent, as we have commissioned to works in order to avoid the imposition of VAT on the works. The fundraising continues for the moment – but we hope very much to have the new peal rung out for Easter next year
