EVENTS TAKING PLACE:

 

THURS DAY 2ND JUNE:   Lighting of the Beacon – as part of the National Chain of Beacons, our Beacon will be lit at 9.45pm. Stone Choral Society will be performing on the church steps at 9.20pm, A prayer will be said for HM the Queen at 9.30pm. At 9.35pm a traditional piper will play Diu Regnare – specially written for the occasion. At 9.40pm a Bugler will officially announce the lighting of the Beacon. After the Beacon is lit Stone Choral society will perform A Song for The Commonwealth, followed by the National Anthem.

 

SATURDAY 4TH JUNE: Jubilee Thanksgiving Service at Ss Michael & Wulfad at 2pm. We will be joined by the Town Mayor and Mayoress. All welcome to attend.

 

SATURDAY 4TH JUNE: Afternoon Tea and Songs of Praise Service at St Saviours. Tea at 5pm and service at 6.30pm. All welcome. Please sign the list at the back of church if you wish to attend the tea.

 

SUNDAY 5TH JUNE: Jubilee Lunch at Ss M&W at 12.30pm. All welcome to attend, but you must purchase a ticket for catering purposes. Tickets cost £5 and are available from Nichola at church or by telephoning 814134. All dietary requirements can be catered for. Last chance for tickets. Final numbers needed by Thurs 2nd June.

SS MICHAEL & WULFAD ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:The Annual Parochial and Annual General Meetings will take place this Sunday straight after the Eucharist. All welcome to attend. Nomination forms are available at the back of church. PLEASE NOTE: anyone wishing to stand for PCC MUST complete a DBS check and Must complete Safeguarding Training.

 

BOOK STALL –we have been given lots of books from a new parishioner so we are having a book stall at Ss M&W for a couple of weeks. Proceeds to Church Funds.

 

CONFIRMATION: We are hoping to have a confirmation service later in the year. If you, or anyone you know may be interested in Confirmation, please speak to Dennis or Rev Jim.

 

SIDESPERSONS & COFFEE ROTA:Can you help? We are looking for people to assist as sidespersons at 8am and 10.45am. We are also in need of people to join the Coffee Rota as we would really like to get refreshments up and running but need help. Please speak to Nichola if you can help.
