St Michael & St Wulfad, Stone, with

St Saviour Aston by Stone

SANDON ESTATE WALK: Following the enjoyable walk around Chartley Castle last year we have arranged another walk this year, again led by David Wilkinson around part of the Sandon estate on Thursday 28th June. Meeting at the church at 6.45 p.m. ready to start the walk at 7.00 p.m.  There is a car park at the church. After visiting the church we shall visit the moated site of the original Sandon Hall and view where the lost village was located.  We will then walk into the park and a view the recently restored tower removed from the former Trentham Hall.  The cost of the walk is £2 which will be collected on the night.  If you are interested, please sign the sheet at the back of both churches.

Hot Pot Supper   Saturday 30th June in St Michaels Community Hall. There will be a Guest Speaker.

Tickets are available from Philip Leason and are priced at £7.50 and include a glass of wine or a soft drink.

Last week we had children from St Michaels School and Pirehill School for our Open Door Project. A huge thank you to everyone that helped over the two days. The children thoroughly enjoyed it, as did the adults. Some of the work that the children produced is in church so please take the time to have a look at the replica seals and the tiles they made. I would also encourage you to have a read of some of the prayers the children wrote. They are hanging on the prayer tree located near the votive candle stand. There are some wonderful prayers that have been written.
